RATING: ★★★★

Nikki is a cougar shifter living in a werewolf world. When she’s promised as a mate to a wolf shifter named Merrick, the fur flies. This short story is a free title, offered by New York Times bestselling author, Anya Bast. Fury is part one of a two part series. Tranquility is the sequel. These titles are highly erotic and meant for those 18 years or older.

Great, short, erotic paranormal romance. The book started off quickly, the passion between the main characters was apparent and boy, did it sizzle. Nikki is a cougar-shifter living amongst a wolf pack. She has been chosen by the elders to be the alpha female and the new alpha male can’t wait to claim his queen. The “love” scenes are toe curling. The book progresses well, for it being so short, and I must say the story/plot did not leave me wanting, as most this length do. This book is part one of two and I can’t wait to find out what happens with the other alpha contender…I hope the next installment is as delicious as the first. If you are looking for quick, entertaining, read with a good dose of the paranormal, this book is for you.

I coexist with my husband of 15 years, our 11-year-old son and two chilled cats in the Deep South.

After 17 years I've finally finished my BA in English (no I do not want to be a teacher). Before majoring in English I would not have touched anything labeled "classic", but I have enjoyed a few along the way in my college career.

While I hated to read growing up, I am now an avid book reader and audiobook listener. I love rejecting reality one book at a time. I only read fiction within my favorite (at least to date) genres which include: most romance (paranormal, contemporary, D/s, BDSM, M/M)Urban Fantasy, and a few YA (mostly PNR or UF from favorite adult authors, but I'm slowly stepping out of my comfort zone after enjoying a few contemporary YA novels in adolescent literature class I took).
