Annelie fell for Lukas the moment he walked into her pub three years ago. He’s stunning, his vivid green eyes lending to his otherworldly beauty, but he’s seriously out of her league. When he tells her that she’s beautiful and confesses that he wants her, she can’t resist him and his passionate kiss. She unleashes her desire and seizes the moment and Lukas with both hands. But Lukas has a secret, one that will test Annelie’s love for him and threaten to tear them apart.

He’s an angel.

Annelie can’t believe it when Lukas says that their feelings for each other aren’t a sin, but she can believe his pain when he tells her the reason he’s on Earth. He is fallen, cast out of Heaven as punishment for a crime he didn’t commit. Lukas isn’t about to give up and accept his fate though. He’s determined to prove both his innocence and his love for Annelie, and to show her that the intense passion they share is real.

When Lukas and Apollyon discover who framed him, will he be able to stop them from going after Serenity and Annelie? Will he be able to protect the woman he loves and fly away with her into their forever after?

sexy1 Well-Written

In the second novella of the Her Angel series we get to experience a couple that have known each other for 3 years. I love it when a couple has known each other for long than 2 days and they fall in love.

Annelie is the owner of a local pub and enjoys the nights that Lukas comes to the pub. They have talk and have fun on those nights. Annelie has slowing fallen in love with the mysterious and sweet Lukas. But Lukas goes MIA for three weeks and that’s when the two really learn that they are in love with the other person.

After a night of passion love-making Annelie learns Lukas’ secret when she is knocked out of his bed by his angel wings. Lukas is afraid that he will lose Annelie because she won’t come to terms that he is an angel.

Lukas has fallen from his angel status do to a sin he’s not guilty of which brings the couple to Paris looking for help from Apollyon, the dark angel from book one, Her Dark Angel.

Once again Heaton writes a great story and characters within 100 pages. You get everything you would get in a full length novel, mystery, romance and hot sex  I’m off to start novella three, Her Warrior Angel.

I coexist with my husband of 15 years, our 11-year-old son and two chilled cats in the Deep South.

After 17 years I've finally finished my BA in English (no I do not want to be a teacher). Before majoring in English I would not have touched anything labeled "classic", but I have enjoyed a few along the way in my college career.

While I hated to read growing up, I am now an avid book reader and audiobook listener. I love rejecting reality one book at a time. I only read fiction within my favorite (at least to date) genres which include: most romance (paranormal, contemporary, D/s, BDSM, M/M)Urban Fantasy, and a few YA (mostly PNR or UF from favorite adult authors, but I'm slowly stepping out of my comfort zone after enjoying a few contemporary YA novels in adolescent literature class I took).

I think from your review I might keep this one on the back burner in case I run out of other books to read. I wonder if you have heard of Jody Summers. She has written Dark Canvas, and for a paranormal romance there is a lot of depth to it. I have to say I am more drawn to that type of read now. I recommend Summers book to anyone, it’s awesome. It’s site has it;s info http://www.darkcanvas.net. I just really loved it! The Angel series was ok, but I have only seen really good things about Heaton so I need to give her work more chances I guess.
