Co-owner of the town's only kennel, Lilah Young has lived in Sunshine, Idaho, all her life. Pilot-for-hire Brady Miller is just passing through. But he soon has Lilah abandoning her instincts and giving in to a primal desire.

It's Brady's nature to resist being tied down, but there's something about Lilah and her menagerie that keeps him coming back for more.

Animal Magnetism by Jill Shalvis is a fun and sweet small town romance where the heroine has a big heart and the hero is just plain sexy.

The Narration:

Karen White delivered the story of Brady and Lyla quite well. Her voice is spot on for contemporary romance. She makes the women sound soft and strong at the same time and the men sexy. And her animal sounds for Twinkle (dog) and cats’ meows were realistic and really cute!

Animal Magnetism by Jill Shalvis is a fun and sweet small town romance where the heroine has a big heart and the hero is just plain sexy.

I coexist with my husband of 15 years, our 11-year-old son and two chilled cats in the Deep South.

After 17 years I've finally finished my BA in English (no I do not want to be a teacher). Before majoring in English I would not have touched anything labeled "classic", but I have enjoyed a few along the way in my college career.

While I hated to read growing up, I am now an avid book reader and audiobook listener. I love rejecting reality one book at a time. I only read fiction within my favorite (at least to date) genres which include: most romance (paranormal, contemporary, D/s, BDSM, M/M)Urban Fantasy, and a few YA (mostly PNR or UF from favorite adult authors, but I'm slowly stepping out of my comfort zone after enjoying a few contemporary YA novels in adolescent literature class I took).

  1. I love the Tweet It review idea you have going on here. I think I would get so many more reviews done if they were all 140 characters or less. LOL. Sometimes I just don’t have it in me to write up 3-4 paragraph reviews.

Anyways….I love this series. I’ve never listened to it on audio but I do love reading Shalvis’s books when I am in the mood for small town romances. Also, just reading about all those cute furry animals is just so cute!

Thanks Debbie. I think I’ll use the format with more audio books in the future. It was easy and when it comes to audios I like to focus on the narration part of the review.

Yes Karen was delightful to listen to. I have two more audios that she narrates that I’m moving up my TBL pile.

I see others enjoying her books and I thought this would be a good place to start. I have more on my TBR pile.
