I coexist with my husband of 15 years, our 11-year-old son and two chilled cats in the Deep South.

After 17 years I've finally finished my BA in English (no I do not want to be a teacher). Before majoring in English I would not have touched anything labeled "classic", but I have enjoyed a few along the way in my college career.

While I hated to read growing up, I am now an avid book reader and audiobook listener. I love rejecting reality one book at a time. I only read fiction within my favorite (at least to date) genres which include: most romance (paranormal, contemporary, D/s, BDSM, M/M)Urban Fantasy, and a few YA (mostly PNR or UF from favorite adult authors, but I'm slowly stepping out of my comfort zone after enjoying a few contemporary YA novels in adolescent literature class I took).

  1. Well, I sure messed this up! I thought I had until today…That’s what I get for procrastinating. I’m being so bad this year, I’m not even updating at all on Goodreas, I know I will one of this days. I have kept up a little on Shelfari, but I had to add like 20 books at once.

I see you’re well pass your goal! Congratulations!! This is a great year, almost everything is being publish on audio..Yay NO more waiting 🙂 Hard to keep up though 🙂

  2. I’ve actually listened to 29 books already! One of my fav books is “Wise Man’s Fear” by Patrick Rothfuss which is the second book in the “Name of the Wind” series. I’m up-to-date on my main page, but my challenges listings are a bit behind. This giveaway is a great reminder to update my challenges. Thank you!

I’m a audio junky! My Precious is 30 books and I’ve surpassed that. I should unplug and pay more attention. Just found this and it fills me with glee to see so many trying audio books. I’ve been a junky for audio’s since 2002 and an avid Audible user since 2009. I have 64 books added in 2014 and only 5 of them I haven’t listened to yet.

  8. You people are out of control! I’ve got 15 done, and I thought I was doing pretty well! Great listening! My most recent completion was The Snow Queen by Michael Cunningham, which was narrated by Claire Danes. It is worth a listen.

  9. I’ve never listened to Audiobooks so I signed up to listen to at least 2 to give them a try – and I’ve listened to 7 so far! I love audiobooks now! Best one I’ve listened to so far was Ready Player One. It was narrated by Wil Wheaton and I loved it.

  10. When this year started I had never heard an audiobook before, and now every time I’m on the move I’m listening to one. I was surely missing on something great, I love them!! I’m currently a weekend warrior, having heard 6 audiobooks so far. I have loved them all, but my very favourite is Your Brilliance by Marcus Sakey, narrated by Luke Daniels, the narrator is awesome and adds something great to this story.

  15. I’ve got 36, but I have some reviews that aren’t posted yet. That would get me over 40. There have been tons of great books this year. But the new The Other series by Anne Bishop has got to be at the top of my list.

I just signed up! I’ll start adding books soon! I’m almost finished with Sower of Dreams, a sci-fi romance by Debra Holland.

    • 37 is not behind. LOL Great job.

I LOVE Lauren Fortgang and the Elemental Assassin series. If you like contemporary romance you should try Shannon Stacey’s Kowalski family series on audio. Fortgang narrates all but one book.
