A Beast In Torment

Uilleam MacRieve believed he’d laid to rest the ghosts of his boyhood. But when a brutal torture revives those ancient agonies and destroys his Lykae instinct, the proud Scot craves the oblivion of death. Until he finds her—a young human so full of spirit and courage that she pulls him back from the brink.

A Beauty In Chains

Seized for the auction block, Chloe Todd is forced to enter a terrifying new world of monsters and lore as a bound slave. When offered up to creatures of the dark, she fears she won’t last the night. Until she’s claimed by him—a tormented immortal with heartbreaking eyes, whose touch sets her blood on fire.

A Full Moon On The Rise

With enemies circling, MacRieve spirits Chloe away to the isolated Highland keep of his youth. But once he takes her to his bed, his sensual mate becomes something more than human, evoking his savage past and testing his sanity. On the cusp of the full moon, can he conquer his worst nightmare to save Chloe . . . from himself?

HowlingGood sexy1 Well-Written

Uilleam (Will) is a MacRieve and a Lykae (werewolf) so of course he’s going to be sexy and alpha. But MacRieve is tormented over his past, a past that is 900 hundreds old. He should be over it by now right? WRONG! He last half his family in one night all those years ago and blames himself to this day for their deaths.

MacRieve has a twin brother Munro and he is what’s been keeping Will somewhat sane all these centuries but Will is at the end of his rope and wants to give up. Until he finally meets his mate, Chloe.

Chloe is a spit fire soccer player and human. But worst she’s the daughter of the commander, the heartless bastard that’s been torturing people of the Lore. He hates Lorens and once his own daughter starts showing signs that she may be one he leaves town and goes into hiding. Granted all of the Lore is hunting for him to kill him. That leaves Chloe alone and in danger. If the creatures of the Lore can’t find the commander then they will grab the next best thing, Chloe.

MacRieve and Chloe meet while he is saving her life. One thing leads to another and they have some lusty times and start falling for each other. Then Chloe’s Lore side surfaces and MacRieve wants nothing to do with her. The couple has a lot to work through to get to their HEA.

Kresley Cole once again has given us a strong heroine and a sexy hero. Their love story is hear breaking and a must read for IAD fans. After that Epilogue, I can’t wait for Munro’s story!

Robert Petkoff continues to bring these sexy and funny creatures to life. He’s a master at accents and one of his best is the Scottish Brogue. His wife must have him use that accent often at home and if she doesn’t she’s nuts. It’s down right sexy!

My name is Jennifer (not Jen!) and I live in the South. I coexist with my husband of 15 years, our 11-year-old son and two cats. I'm finishing my BA in English this Spring (no I do not want to be a teacher). Before majoring in English I would not touch anything labeled "classic" but I have enjoyed a few along the way in my courses. While I hated to read growing up I am now avid book reader and audiobook listener. I love rejecting reality one book at a time. I only read fiction with my favorite (at least to date) genres include: most romance (paranormal, contemporary, D/s, BDSM, M/M)Urban Fantasy, and a few YA (mostly paranormal from authors I read in the adult genre but I'm explaining after enjoying a few contemporary YA novels in my college courses).

  1. I have the book version of MacRieve and hope to get to it soon, but the audio version sounds yummy with the Scottish Brogue coming to life! Thanks for wonderful review, Jennifer 🙂

  2. I really enjoyed this one, but then again I love all of the IAD books, but what I can’t believe is that I had to go on my library and recheck if I had listened or not, I play a little of the first chapter and it came back to me..LOL
Don’t get old! Now I’m even forgetting books that I have already listened to..LOL..That’s bad, is bad enough that I don’t remember anything about movies I saw a long time ago, but now books!! OH boy!
