Born and raised to be an emotionless killing machine, Nathan is one of the most lethal Breed vampires in existence. A key member of the Order—an elite group of warriors charged with protecting both mortals and vampires—Nathan executes each mission with flawless precision and a total lack of mercy. Now he must pursue a powerful, hidden enemy. But Nathan’s hard discipline and training are no match for the fierce pull he feels toward a young woman he has no right to desire—a woman of wealth and high social standing who has long been promised to another Breed male, and who may also prove to be the key to rooting out Nathan’s elusive quarry.
Jordana lives a life of glittering privilege as a member of a prominent Breed family in Boston. Surrounded by fine things and fawning admirers, Jordana wants for nothing—until she crosses paths with a dark, intense warrior from the Order and finds herself swept into an impulsive, sizzling kiss that neither of them will forget. As much as she tries to deny her deep feelings for Nathan, Jordana cannot resist the craving to be near him, to break through his forbidding walls and see the man he truly is. But getting close to Nathan will thrust Jordana into a treacherous new world, forcing her to risk all she has and all she knows about herself and her past. And loving this seductive man could be the most dangerous temptation of all.
Lara Adrian gave her Midnight Breed series a reboot or sorts with the last release, EDGE OF DAWN. And with a twenty year jump in the series plot line, we get new life breathed into a fantastic paranormal romance series. With what I like to think of as Midnight Breed 2.0 we get to follow the now adult children of our old favorites.
CRAVE THE NIGHT is the twelfth book in the series but it’s far from being tired and predictable. In the past, the Breed warriors dealt with an enemy that was out to make his own personal army ofGen One Breed Hunters – Breed males that were born and bred to be emotionless killers. That enemy has been dispatched and now the Breed faces a new foe, one not of this earth like their forefathers, the Atlantean.
The Atlanteans are a group of immortals that prove to be more dangerous than the last big bad they dealt with. But there’s another mysterious group that the Breed has to keep an eye on, the Opus Nostrum. Both groups are dangerous to the Breeds and humans alike. And only time will tell which is more dangerous.
CRAVE THE NIGHT is full of action, suspense and of course Lara Adrian’s signature sexual tension. Nathan is a Breed Warrior and an ex-Hunter that was saved at a young age by his Breedmate mother and her mate. He looks calm and cool on the outside but inside he is broken and damaged. Jordana is a lovely Breedmate who is everything any male would want in a mate but Hunter thinks himself unworthy of her.
Together Nathan and Jordana burn up the pages in CRAVE THE NIGHT with their passion for each other. Their romance is both hot and sweet. They both tame each other in ways no one else can.

After 17 years I've finally finished my BA in English (no I do not want to be a teacher). Before majoring in English I would not have touched anything labeled "classic", but I have enjoyed a few along the way in my college career.
While I hated to read growing up, I am now an avid book reader and audiobook listener. I love rejecting reality one book at a time. I only read fiction within my favorite (at least to date) genres which include: most romance (paranormal, contemporary, D/s, BDSM, M/M)Urban Fantasy, and a few YA (mostly PNR or UF from favorite adult authors, but I'm slowly stepping out of my comfort zone after enjoying a few contemporary YA novels in adolescent literature class I took).
