I currently have 250+ books on my library wish list, so you can see how badly I need to participate in this reading challenge. If you’re like me, you love to read and buying every book you read really puts a hurt on your wallet. Checking books out from the library can save you TONS of money. And in most places a library card is FREE.

Reading Challenge Details:

• Runs January 1, 2015 – December 31, 2015. You can join any time.
• The goal is to read at least twelve (12) books from the library. Twelve should be easy, that’s one a month. While twelve is the minimum, there is no maximum limit. See the different levels below and pick the one that works best for you.
• Any format will work for this challenge (print, ebook or audio) as long as you checked it out from the library it counts.
• Books can be any genre (fiction, nonfiction, romance, fantasy, mystery, thriller, horror, etc.).
• Crossovers from other reading challenges are allowed, including re-reads. The goal is to support your local library and save money.
• To join this challenge, grab the 2015 Snagged @ The Library Reading Challenge button and post this reading challenge on your blog to track your progress. Please include a link back to this sign-up post so others can join the reading challenge too. You do not have to be a book blogger to participate; you can track your progress on Goodreads (so as long as you have a dedicated shelf and Felicia has created a Goodreads group), Shelfari (I’ve created a Shelfari group. You can join and post your progress within the group), or BookLikes, etc.,  for the 2015 Snagged @ The Library Reading Challenge. The point of linking up is to have a place where people can see what you’re reading.

Dewey Decimal: read 12 books
Thrifty Reader: read 24 books
Overdrive Junkie: read 36 books
Library Card on Fire: read 50+ books

I’m going with Dewey Decimal (12 books)

Owner/Blogger at The Book Nympho
I coexist with my husband of 15 years, our 11-year-old son and two chilled cats in the Deep South.

After 17 years I've finally finished my BA in English (no I do not want to be a teacher). Before majoring in English I would not have touched anything labeled "classic", but I have enjoyed a few along the way in my college career.

While I hated to read growing up, I am now an avid book reader and audiobook listener. I love rejecting reality one book at a time. I only read fiction within my favorite (at least to date) genres which include: most romance (paranormal, contemporary, D/s, BDSM, M/M)Urban Fantasy, and a few YA (mostly PNR or UF from favorite adult authors, but I'm slowly stepping out of my comfort zone after enjoying a few contemporary YA novels in adolescent literature class I took).

I’m excited to join this challenge! Love my local library and need to stop buying so many books. Trying for overdrive level.

  2. Thanks to you and Gina for hosting the challenge. Exactly 1/2 the books I read in 2014 came from the library, so this is a perfect challenge for me. I’m signing up for 50+ books in 2015.

As much as I take my kiddies to the library I think I can manage to find me some books to read. I think I will mostly use the audiobooks though. Thanks for cohosting this one.

Hi, joining for the first time to remind myself to check the library BEFORE I buy the book. Thanks for setting this up. Hope I linked up to my GR shelf correctly. 🙂

  5. I haven’t done a reading challenge other than setting a goal on Goodreads, but this is one I can definitely do.
