Three determined young ladies vow to give three of London's worst rakes their comeuppance ― but when these rogues turn the tables, who truly learns a lesson in love?

Once upon a time, the notorious Viscount Dare charmed Lady Georgiana Halley out of her innocence ― to win a wager, no less! ― and now he must pay dearly. The plan is simple: She will use every seductive wile she knows to win Dare's heart...and then break it. But his smoldering gaze once again tempts Georgiana to give in to desire ― and when he astonishes her with a marriage proposal, she wonders: Is he playing yet another game...or could it truly be love this time?

When I first read this trilogy, it was years ago. I recently re-read Lessons in Love and quickly remember how much I loved these books. The trilogy starts with The Rake and is a second-chance at love story, which I enjoy. It is a nice break from the norm – characters meeting and instantly falling in lust/love. Georgiana and Tristan have a rocky past, which leads Georgiana to develop a “club” with two of her friends (the subsequent heroines of the trilogy). The ladies decide they will write list of rules, ‘Lessons in Love,’ and implement them.

Six years ago, Tristan played a cruel trick on Georgiana and broke her heart. Now, she is going to teach him a lesson. I enjoyed their snipping back and forth and I completely understood why Georgiana felt she needed to even the score with Tristan, but it was really hard to dislike the devilish rake. He admittedly made a mistake when he was young and stupid and was well aware that he deserved her jibes.

The romance was sweet and there were a few times it made me smile and give a little laugh. This book really has everything that I enjoy in a romance: relatable characters, realistic relationship struggles, good humor, emotional tension/connection between the characters and charters/read, and steamy scenes. This a MUST read for historical romance fans.

About Suzanne Enoch

A lifelong lover of books, Suzanne Enoch has been writing them since she learned to read. She is the author of two well-received Avon Regencies, The Black Duke’s Prize and Angel’s Devil, and five Avon Romances: Lady Rogue, Stolen Kisses, By Love Undone, Taming Rafe and Reforming a Rake. Born and raised in Southern California, Suzanne lives a few scant miles from Disneyland with her collection of Star Wars action figures and a Cairn terrier named Katie (after the heroine of her first Regency). She’s still looking for her own hero, and hopes he will be handsome, titled, and just a little wicked. Meanwhile, she’s currently at work inventing him in her next historical romance. (from Amazon)

Amanda J. Greene is a paranormal romance author. When she is not writing, she can be found playing the role of a university student who also works full time at a cosmetology school. She lives in Southern California with her very supportive husband and their two dogs, a sweet cocker spaniel and a rambunctious blackmouth cur mix. Doing all the above and being a military wife is not easy, but rewarding! Of course, she accomplishes everything with a strong cup of coffee in her hand.
