Featuring the entire BEAUTIFUL series cast for one final hurrah!
A FREE-SPIRITED GIRL IN NEED OF A BREAK.
A MAN WEIGHED DOWN BY RESPONSIBILITY.
A ROAD TRIP VACATION WHERE ALL BETS ARE OFF.
OH, AND A LOT OF WINE.
After walking in on her boyfriend shagging another girl in their place, Pippa Bay Cox ditches London for the States to go on a drunken road trip with Ruby Miller and some of her Beautiful friends.
Scaling the career ladder is the default way to deal with heartbreak—and to just deal—for Jensen Bergstrom. Absolutely buried by his drive and workload, he rarely takes time for himself. But when his sister Hanna convinces him to join the gang on a two-week wine tour, he has a rare moment of cutting loose. Of course, it’s only once he’s committed that he realizes the strange girl he met briefly on the plane is coming along, too. She might be too much for him…or he might realize his life has become too small and needs her to make it bigger, crazier.
With this circle of friends there’s always something going on: from Chloe and Sara’s unexpected personality swaps to Will’s new domestic side to Bennett’s text message barrage and George’s own happily-ever-after. In short, their adventures in love, friendship, and hilarity are nothing short of Beautiful.
Pippa and Jensen are connected to other characters in previous books. Pippa is friends with Ruby who ended up with Naill in Beautiful Secret and Jensen is Hanna’s big brother who ended up with Jensen’s best friend Will in Beautiful Player. We get to see both of these couples in Beautiful as they all take a fun road trip together.
Jensen and Pippa agree to go on said road trip with the couples after they found out they wouldn’t be the fifth wheel. But once they find out that the other is the “other friend” joining in the fun things get interesting. See Jensen and Pippa met on a plane ride from London to New York where Pippa got drunk and talked on and on about her bastard of an ex. Poor Jensen couldn’t get away from her fast enough.
After their bit of a rocky start, Pippa and Jensen become fast friends (sure friends with an instant attraction to each other). Now if this wasn’t already an awkward road trip there’s another element thrown in from Jensen past to up the weirdness. The gang gets to know Pippa and adopt her as the newest member of their family. Jensen is having more than family feelings toward the quirky Brit and things heat up between the two when they are forced to share a room together.
Looking for a fun, sexy, and memory lane trip down the Beautiful Bastard series? Pick up Beautiful and get swept away in Pippa and Jensen’s HEA and the wonderful way Christina Lauren wraps up this fun series.
All the narrators from the series are back. Grace Grant and Sebastian York are the main narrators as Pippa and Jensen and they do a fantastic job as usual. Jonathan Cole and Jeremy York set in at the end to voice a few of the MANY epilogs we get for EACH couple in the series.
After 17 years I've finally finished my BA in English (no I do not want to be a teacher). Before majoring in English I would not have touched anything labeled "classic", but I have enjoyed a few along the way in my college career.
While I hated to read growing up, I am now an avid book reader and audiobook listener. I love rejecting reality one book at a time. I only read fiction within my favorite (at least to date) genres which include: most romance (paranormal, contemporary, D/s, BDSM, M/M)Urban Fantasy, and a few YA (mostly PNR or UF from favorite adult authors, but I'm slowly stepping out of my comfort zone after enjoying a few contemporary YA novels in adolescent literature class I took).
