here’s no such thing as a little in love . . .

Elle Wheaton’s priorities: friends, career, and kick-ass shoes. Then there’s the muscular wall of stubbornness that’s security expert Archer Hunt—who comes before everything else. No point in telling Mr. “Feels-Free Zone” that, though. Elle will just see other men until she gets over Archer . . . which should only take a lifetime . . .

There’s no such thing as a little in lust . . .

Archer’s wanted the best for Elle ever since he sacrificed his law-enforcement career to save her. Their chemistry could start the next San Francisco earthquake and he craves her 24/7, but Archer doesn’t want to be responsible for the damage. The alternative? Watch her go out with guys who aren’t him . . .

There is such a thing as . . .

As far as Archer’s concerned, nobody is good enough for Elle. But when he sets out to prove it by sabotaging her dates, she gets mad—and things get hot as hell. Now Archer has a new mission: prove to Elle that her perfect man has been here all along . . .

Read it, track reviews are a way  to track books for my reading challenges and they will be super short.

Accidentally on Purpose is the 3rd full length novel in Shalvis’ Hearbreaker Bay series and we met the couple earlier in the series. Elle and Archer is THAT COUPLE in the series that you knew was going to end up together, but you had to wait for their story while getting peeks into them as secondary characters.

Archer and Elle have a past where he saved her life one night. Ever since she has hoped that he would see her as the woman she grew up to be and not the teenager he saved. Archer does not think he’s good enough for Elle and he’s afraid that she will never be his. He fears she thinks she owes him something for that night that meet where he was the young rookie cop and she was the teenager in danger. (Yes there is a 6 year age difference, but things don’t get hot with them until they are both adults. No eck factor here!)

The close net group of friends in this series knew that Elle and Archer was made for each other, but it takes a while for them to realize it.

Anytime I’m in the mood for a fun, sexy romance with yummy alpha-type guys and strong women I look to Jill Shalvis. Then pair that story with Karen White’s narrations and you have a good time waiting to happen.  These two ladies are one of my favorite teams when it comes to contemporary romances on audio.

Jill Shalvis always writes fun romances with great characters. Once again Karen White was a pure joy as the narrator.

I coexist with my husband of 15 years, our 11-year-old son and two chilled cats in the Deep South.

After 17 years I've finally finished my BA in English (no I do not want to be a teacher). Before majoring in English I would not have touched anything labeled "classic", but I have enjoyed a few along the way in my college career.

While I hated to read growing up, I am now an avid book reader and audiobook listener. I love rejecting reality one book at a time. I only read fiction within my favorite (at least to date) genres which include: most romance (paranormal, contemporary, D/s, BDSM, M/M)Urban Fantasy, and a few YA (mostly PNR or UF from favorite adult authors, but I'm slowly stepping out of my comfort zone after enjoying a few contemporary YA novels in adolescent literature class I took).
