Undercover cop Clay Navarro left the Sultans biker gang a changed man. Its ringleaders may be awaiting trial, but he wears the memory of every brutal act he was forced to commit tattooed across his skin. He doesn't have space in his messed-up life for anything gentle--not now, maybe not ever.

Dr. Georgette Hadley is drawn to the damaged stranger's pain, intimidated but intrigued by the warmth that lies beneath Clay's frightening exterior. But when the Sultans return looking for revenge, she finds herself drawn into the dirty underbelly of a life forged in violence...that not even her touch may be able to heal.

Adriana Anders did it again! She grabbed me with her characters and their stories making me part of their lives. By Her Touch is the second book the in the Blank Canvas series, a series that I’ve highly enjoyed. You can easily read By Her Touch without having read, Under Her Skin. Couple characters make cameos but you won’t be lost. Although I recommend you start with Under Her Skin because it’s a great read as well and helps sets the tone for the town and people living in it.

Anders writes emotional stories with fantastic characters. By Her Touch is another romance wrapped around a dark story where the hero is on the run for his life. He’s an undercover agent who’s trying to stay alive in order to testify in court against the MC club he joined in order to get revenge for his younger sister’s death. He’s dealing will all kinds of nasty stuff from his past. His not so long away past has left physical marks on him alone with the emotional ones he’s dealing with. That’s where Doc George comes in. She’s a dermatologist living in the small town of Blackwood and she helps people in need. She does pro-bono work with victims with tattoo removal. In fact, that’s how she is connected with the heroine from Under Her Skin. She helped Uma out and now she has a new patient, Special Agent Clay Navarro.

Doctors shouldn’t have sexual feelings towards their patients but the chemistry between George and Clay come to a fever pitch one night after clinic hours while she is giving him laser treatment. They both try to fight it, her because he’s her patient and him because he doesn’t think he is worthy and he doesn’t want to bring his dangerous past into her life.

By Her Touch is an emotional and suspenseful ride from beginning to end and it has firmly put Adriana Anders on my auto-read list. I cannot wait for the next book in the series, In His Hands (August 1, 2017).

About Adriana Anders

Adriana Anders writes romance that’s dark, smart, and full of heart. She has acted and sung, slung cocktails and corrected copy. She’s worked for start-ups, multinationals and small nonprofits, but it wasn’t until she returned to her first love—writing romance—that she finally felt like she’d come home. Today, she resides with her tall French husband, two small children and fat bastard of a French cat in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, where she writes the dark, gritty, emotional love stories of her heart.

Her award-winning debut novel, Under Her Skin, the first in the Blank Canvas series, will be out from Sourcebooks Casablanca in February 2017.

I coexist with my husband of 15 years, our 11-year-old son and two chilled cats in the Deep South.

After 17 years I've finally finished my BA in English (no I do not want to be a teacher). Before majoring in English I would not have touched anything labeled "classic", but I have enjoyed a few along the way in my college career.

While I hated to read growing up, I am now an avid book reader and audiobook listener. I love rejecting reality one book at a time. I only read fiction within my favorite (at least to date) genres which include: most romance (paranormal, contemporary, D/s, BDSM, M/M)Urban Fantasy, and a few YA (mostly PNR or UF from favorite adult authors, but I'm slowly stepping out of my comfort zone after enjoying a few contemporary YA novels in adolescent literature class I took).
