Closing Time . . .

Posted December 31, 2017 by Jennifer in Misc | | 20 Comments

After some thoughtful consideration (like two years), I’ve decided to transition back to a regular reader. With 6 years of book blogging under my belt, it’s time to move on. I found a whole new world and friends in the book blogging world.  You ladies (and gentlemen) are the shit!

I will continue to read and review on Goodreads. I will also remain active on Twitter (probably more so now that I will have more time). The Facebook page will still be around for a while too. I follow tons of authors and other bloggers on Facebook so I like to share their posts and news. Lately I’m more active on Instagram (because a picture is faster than a blog post).

Don’t be surprised if you get more comments on your blog posts from me. I’ll have to stay connected as a commenter.

It’s been a pleasure being here to talk about books in past 6 years. Thank you for stopping by my little corner of the book blogging world. BIG THANK YOU to my co-blogger Jonetta and reviewers Anne and Amanda. You ladies have been fun to work with and I will keep in touch online and through email.

Goodbye is not the end.

“Parting is such sweet sorrow that I shall say goodnight till it be morrow.”
― William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet

“You get use to someone—start to like them, even—and they leave. In the end, everyone leaves.”
― Rachel Ward, Numbers

“No more words. We know them all, all the words that should not be said. But you have made my world more perfect.”
― Terry Pratchett, Nation

“You’re leaving me, Rainbow Girl.”
― Karen Marie Moning, Dreamfever

Five years ago, I answered a request from Jennifer for a full time reviewer and everything changed. I’m thankful for the opportunity she gave me and her unending generosity in sharing this wonderful space. I couldn’t have dreamed up a better partner and I’ll be forever grateful. And, thanks to all of her faithful friends and followers for accepting me here.   — Jonetta

Find Me

Owner/Blogger at The Book Nympho
I coexist with my husband of 15 years, our 11-year-old son and two chilled cats in the Deep South.

After 17 years I've finally finished my BA in English (no I do not want to be a teacher). Before majoring in English I would not have touched anything labeled "classic", but I have enjoyed a few along the way in my college career.

While I hated to read growing up, I am now an avid book reader and audiobook listener. I love rejecting reality one book at a time. I only read fiction within my favorite (at least to date) genres which include: most romance (paranormal, contemporary, D/s, BDSM, M/M)Urban Fantasy, and a few YA (mostly PNR or UF from favorite adult authors, but I'm slowly stepping out of my comfort zone after enjoying a few contemporary YA novels in adolescent literature class I took).

  1. Oh so sad to read this. I’m always sad seeing a book blogger go. I love your blog. Thanks for sharing your awesome reviews and posts. See you on twitter and Instagram. ❤️❤️❤️

  2. Even though I knew this was coming it still makes me sad – your blog was the reason I became a blogger 🙁 but OMG do I get it… If Michelle hadn’t adopted me this summer I would have been closing down after 4 years. So glad you’ll be sticking around and thankfully I’m getting into Instagram better so I’ll see you there 🙂

  3. oh NO!!! I totally understand why, but I have been following you for years and just have loved coming by here and connecting to fellow romance readers 🙂 Good luck to future plans and will be following you on social media for sure because you are awesomesauce!!! Thank you for being such an inspiration to me. YOU ROCK THE HOUSE.
