No Matter How Far You Run, The Past Will Find You Leslie Tentler is back with another story of romance and suspense…this time in a small Southern beach town called Rarity Cove. What happens when a woman on the run has her dangerous secrets finally catch up with her? Find out in Before the Storm by Leslie Tentler. Excerpt The Sea King Motor Court sat off the two-lane highway heading inland out of Rarity Cove. A good four miles from the beach, the one-story, painted cinderblock structure was outdated and somewhat run-down, with a small swimming pool surrounded by a chain-link fence next to the parking lot. Samantha walked past the unoccupied, darkened pool, clutching her purse that contained Lenny’s payoff. Room six. […]

And with one kiss You inspired a fire of devotion That lasted for twenty years What kind of man loves like this? “The music of Florence and The Machine is like my spirit animal. I wish I could write something so perfectly sexy and broken and personal and smart, popular and totally outside the box at the same time. I love love love this music. And this song fits Annie’s utter dumbstruck and perhaps ill-fated fascination with the man on the other end of the phone…” M. Redemption Road by Katie Ashley

Redemption Road by Katie Ashley

Redemption Road  was a book everyone wanted after the first book.  “Rev”  is a great guy and now he is president of the club. His mindset is very real; he treats all people better than one would expect. Other than those he kills.  Annabel really grew throughout the story and I appreciated it. They shared some difficult things in their lives which helped them connect and almost too quickly.    This book continued the trends from the first book as far as family, violence, poor treatment of women.  Violence does include property destruction, fighting and murder. Other than some interactions with other clubs or a few scenes at the clubhouse, we don’t see that much actual biker life stuff.  The story is the big […]

Make You Burn by Megan Crane

Make You Burn by Megan Crane

I have been excited to get into this genre because I am a Harley rider, a 2009 Dyna Super Glide. I have done some long distance traveling.  In 2014,  I rode 17,000 miles in 29 states.  Sadly, I won’t ride as much this year. I read one book  from another  motorcycle series book last summer and didn’t really love it.  It was very violent, very dark and quite graphic. Make You Burn  is more of a sexy, on the edge book.  It doesn’t really give hardly any details of the club. This is more of an erotic romance between an exiled member of the club and the club president’s daughter. There is only limited plot other than this, limited action or mystery.  In a sense, […]

10 bits of random trivia, with narrator Greg Tremblay   I actually studied acting in college, along with opera; but got a degree in Computer Science. My recording booth itself is only 3’ x 5’ x 6’ . . . so when I read MM romance, I go INTO the closet.  Ironic, no? It takes between 5 and 7 hours of total production time with the finished manuscript to create 1 hour of final audio.  Fiction Audio reads at about 9800 words per hour. In addition to voice acting, I have been a Whale Watching guide, a Paramedic, and a Farrier (shoeing horses) I rarely, if ever, listen to a complete book again once the production is finished.  By the time I am […]

Here at The Book Nympho we are just nuts about Jill Shalvis so set back and see what 3 out of 4 of us thought about her new release, Second Chance Summer. 1 Cent – Jonetta’s Review Lily Danville left Cedar Ridge 15 years ago after a terrible tragedy. Now she’s back home after an incident that blacklisted her, preventing her from getting work elsewhere. Aidan Kincaid, a firefighter and Search & Rescue volunteer, never forgot his first love and now that she’s back…well, who knows. I wanted to love this book! Aidan is beyond wonderful, with all of his perfections and flaws, and his innate nature to rescue people. The Kincaid family is extraordinary, messy, funny and fiercely protective of one another. I […]

Excerpt Spanish Lessons   I take her out onto the deck. There are fewer people here and I find a quiet corner where I can touch her and talk to her without interruption. “You want anything to drink?” “Nope.” She places her water bottle on the railing. “That’s not my preferred buzz.” “I’ve heard that.” “You’ve been checking up on me.” “I hear things.” I smile and lean down until our forehead touch heads and I can feel her breath on my face. She steps into me and I place my hands on her hips. We fit together perfectly and I can’t help but imagine how good it will be when all these clothes are out of the way. “I thought you wouldn’t be […]

Dark Heir by Faith Hunter

Dark Heir by Faith Hunter

I couldn’t wait to read Dark Heir and it arrived when I was really busy so I had to actually put it down and it took over a week to read, instead of a day!  Oh the torture. I’m so comfortable with these characters and the world now.  They feel like the dearest of friends, and enemies.  I especially enjoy the relationship which has developed with Jane and her partners, the Younger brothers.   Especially since I don’t like how things are with Molly and I haven’t for awhile.   This is a series which should be read in order; this would not be as much fun as a standalone book. Now I have to say the humor, in this book, felt better than many of the previous […]
