After months of bad luck and even worse men, Luciana Diaz just wants to crawl under the covers and forget the year ever happened. Her friend has other plans, convincing Luci to attend a New Year’s Eve party on the affluent shores of Kiawah Island.

Luci never expected to have fun. She also never expected to wake up with a man she just met, or for this man to be the new attorney at her firm.

Landon Summers is done with drama. After an ugly separation and even worse divorce, he has no desire to jump into another relationship.

When his sister Trinity drags him to a New Year’s Eve party, he doesn’t plan to stay long. One drink, a few hellos, and he’s out. Until he meets Luci, the first person in months to draw his smile and incite his passion.

Neither Luci nor Landon planned on each other, and they definitely didn’t plan on love. But the New Year means a fresh start, and eternal possibilities neither could deny .

Anne’s Thoughts

I got interested in this Carolina Beach series after Jennifer reviewed the first book, Inseverable. This is near where I live now and I’ve always wanted to read this author. The main characters of the first two books are sister and brother in a well-to-do family. The whole setup of the family is unreal with the money, the charity work and some of their conversations.

The circle of their friends are also mostly monied. These are new adults but some of them feel less mature.  Some of them, I just want to smack upside the head and tell them to communicate and just say what they mean. The secondary characters will hopefully be more realistic with bigger roles in future stories.

Luci starts out feeling like a doormat in Eternal. It turns out she is smart and capable. I loved her strength and heart. There was the hurtful part of her life which she works to keep hidden and I wish she trusted those who love her enough to share it with them. Landon has been through the wringer and is naturally cautious about any involvements. His aversion to further pain can’t keep him from being who he is.  I love the way they finally become a couple with the growth they both have.

Jennifer’s Thoughts

Unlike Anne, I didn’t see Luci as a doormat. She kept hope where most people wouldn’t have. She tried her best to help her drug addicted mother for years. This kept her from living her life for herself. Landon hasn’t lived his life to the fullest for about a year after his divorce. Then he met Luci and they both started living again.

Landon and Lui both have issues from their pasts that hold them down, but seeing them come up for air and finding the love they both deserve was a joy. Their HEA started with not a one night stand but a whole weekend stand that was so much more. Luckily their jobs brought them back together and they did things “right” the second time around. They stayed out of the bedroom and got to know each other on another level. Seeing them fall in love was sweet, funny and sexy.

I’m enjoying the Carolina Beach series and I look forward to the next story which I think (and hope) is Becca and Hale’s HEA.

About Cecy Robson

Cecy (pronounced Sessy) Robson is a full-time writer, registered nurse, wife, and mother living in the Great Northwest. She attributes her passion for story-telling back to the rough New Jersey neighborhood she was raised in. As a child, she was rarely allowed to leave the safety of her house and passed her time fantasizing about flying, fairies, and things that go bump in the night. Her dad unwittingly encouraged Cecy’s creativity by kissing her goodnight wearing vampire fangs. Gifted and cursed with an overactive imagination, she began writing her first urban fantasy series, Weird Girls, in May 2009.

WOW Inseverable by Cecy Robson has everything. Romance The romance between Trinity and Callahan is explosive. It starts out slow because he just wants to be left alone. She just wants to make him smile. Heart Break The reason Callahan wants to be alone is his past. He’s fresh out of the military and is dealing with the horrors he went through serving for 8 years. The hurt he is going through is truly heart breaking. Trinity is dealing with her own past issue, her ex and best friend where cheating on her together. She has trust issues when it comes to romance and he has issues with himself and how he believes doesn’t deserve a HEA. Laughter Trinity is a hilarious character. There […]

Cecy Robson shares one of her favorite things about writing romance

Hey, Jennifer. I’m honored to be representing Team Romp on Stomp vs Romp. One of my favorite things about writing romance is all the lovely and swoon-worthy sexual tension that leads up to “the moment” and makes it the anticipation worth the wild ride. Below is a never before seen excerpt from my novel ETERNAL, the second novel in my Carolina Beach series where two heartbroken individuals meet at a New Year’s Eve party on South Carolina’s Kiawah Island. Both had given up on love and neither planned on romance. But the New Year means a fresh start and eternal possibilities neither could deny. EXCERPT That smile that faded in Blythe’s presence returns. I ease my way out of the bathroom and return to the […]

I’ve been waiting for Declan and Melissa’s story ever since they first met in the first book in the O’Brien Family series, Once Kissed. Declan didn’t make the best of first impressions that day. LOL Feel Me focuses on the next to the oldest O’Brien sibling of 7 kids, Declan. He is an Assistant District Attorney who had his eyes set on being the youngest District Attorney and then Mayor. He doesn’t believe in love and never wanted a relationship or family of his own after seeing how “love” ruined by his mother and father’s marriage when he was a kid. Melissa had a rough childhood because of her mother and her hearing impairment. After she was adopted by her dad the current District Attorney her life took a turn […]

I’ve had Cecy Robson on my TBR ever since I meet her a few years ago at RT book con. She is so sweet and I’ve heard great things about her novels. So, I’m starting my reading experience with Robson with Crave Me, the third book in the O’Brien Family series. I know, I know the third book? I was assured that I could read Crave Me before, Once Kissed and Let Me and I agree that readers can easily start with Crave Me. After enjoying Wren’s story I’m going back to read her brother’s stories. The O’Brien family is made up of seven children and Wren is the only girl which means she is tough as nails. She has a mouth of a sailor but looks like a beauty queen […]
