Actress Sophie Birch is used to having to look out for herself. So when her theater catches fire and a big guy scoops her up into his arms to save her, she's going to fight every step of the way. Even if he's a cop. And really sexy. And his arms feel oh-so-good.

Finn Kelly can't help but appreciate how good the woman in his arms looks in her sexy pink lingerie. Even if she's currently resisting arrest.

But as the two get to know each other, they're both surprised by the things Finn is willing to do to get closer to her. And when Sophie's estranged father arrives in town and starts causing trouble, the stage is set for disaster...unless Finn can convince her that, for once in her life, she has someone to lean on.

So far, the Opposites Attract series is my favorite by Erin Nicholas. I’ve enjoyed all her books, but this series hits the spot. I fell in love with the three females sharing a home in Completely Yours and went on to Forever Mine and now, Totally His. She does a fantastic job with her characters and their dialogue. Their banter and authentic communication is refreshing and funny.

The plots are fiction but they aren’t so far from reality one can’t believe them. This story has insta-lust. Sophie has a tough background without much family support. Finn has had a wealth of family support throughout his life. Sophie loves the idea of a big, close family but isn’t sure she can make it work. I liked them both; their strength, honesty, growth, integrity and compassion. Finn was rather awesome plus funny in his protectiveness. There’s plenty of interesting things happening with Finn’s mom, Sophie’s father, and the extended friends and family.

I do wish, so much, there had been a few more scenes or actually a bit more dialogue, between Sophie and her roommates. I enjoyed their connection so much in the first two books and while they are here, it’s not as much. If you didn’t read the first two books, you wouldn’t really have much sense of their strength. It makes it possible and easy to read this as a standalone, but I would have like a bit more of them. I’m only talking a couple pages, not a huge amount. It would be for the emotional impact more than any plot point.

The trilogy is now complete so you can read them all.  Recommended.

About Erin Nicholas

Erin Nicholas is the author of sexy contemporary romances. Her stories have been described as toe-curling, enchanting, steamy and fun. She loves to write about reluctant heroes, imperfect heroines and happily ever afters. She lives in the Midwest with her husband who only wants to read the sex scenes in her books, her kids who will never read the sex scenes in her books, and family and friends who say they’re shocked by the sex scenes in her books (yeah, right!).

Early Review: Turned Up by Erin Nicholas

Early Review: Turned Up by Erin Nicholas

Dillon and Kit grew up together, competing with each other, even at the same college, and are both medical professionals. Dillon has been out of town in the service, Doctors Without Borders and in practice elsewhere. After ten years, he is back in the hometown. Kit has been in the small town where they grew up other than her college time. This is a rivals to lovers story. Turned Up starts out very antagonistic; it is difficult to believe at their ages and professional capacities they would act this way. When they fight, they get each other to do better. I found it tedious. They have always had “chemistry” and the sexy times are hot. They get snowed in together which […]

After You by Erin Nicholas

After You by Erin Nicholas

I like Erin Nicholas’ books, so I signed up to be a reviewer for her. After You is the first book they sent me for review. It is from the Sapphire Falls series.   I read Getting Out of Hand  Last week to prepare but have not read the rest of the series. Yet.  The people in the small town were not the same ones in the two books for the most part. There were names I recognized but the main couple from the first book wasn’t even mentioned. (And that’s fine).  I didn’t feel confused having not read the other books, but I think I would have enjoyed it more if I had, and got more emotional connection and perhaps humor […]

The purpose of Thrifty Thursday is to read a book which was free (at some point). Kindle freebie on March 21 , 2016  (currently free as of writing this post) Overall rating 3.85 with 3,265 ratings and 804 reviews   I started reading Erin Nicholas with her new geek romance series, Opposites Attract, and loved it.  Since I wanted to read more of her works, I signed up for her review team. They sent me a book, After You, which is in the world of the Sapphire Falls series.   Since the first in the series was available as a Kindle freebie (and I already had it), I decided to read Getting Out of Hand to introduce me to the […]

I read the first book in the Opposites Attract series ,  Completely Yours which was 4.5 stars of smart, sexy fun. Of course, I wanted to read more. I was not disappointed. Maya is so strong, open and with a huge heart. She willingly risks everything to help others, do what is right or get what she wants. She is so brave. Alex is extremely smart and capable, but he has always played it safe. He has a lot happening in his life, can he risk himself enough to change and grow? I enjoyed these characters and they made me feel, care and cheer for them. They are more than average folks, which hits my reality meter. Some things work out for them a […]

Release Blitz: Completely Yours by Erin Nicholas

So this was a surprise and a great one! I was out of sorts and this was exactly what I needed. A thought-provoking story which also snuck into my heart. Two very different people shutting themselves off from relationships to avoid getting hurt. Their situations and how they resolved them was smart and very believable. Zach is an EMT who takes care of everyone. Kiera is a graphics designer on the hottest LARP game on the market. They handle things very differently emotionally and in their style, which means they can learn a lot from each other. Learning about each other, they learn about themselves. And it’s awesome! I liked them both. They were strong and smart and caring and competent. I appreciate […]
