Tristan Pierce left the family business to carve out a life of his own, but never forgot his passionate affair with the much younger, inexperienced Sydney Green, or the hurtful break-up that tore him apart. When he’s forced to return home and face his past, will he be able to carve out a future, or will lies ruin his second chance at love?
Sydney Green loved Tristan her entire life, but when he left, he took not only her heart, but her trust with him. Now that they’re together again, it’s time they both face the biggest secret of all…
I love a contemporary romances that features a hero/heroine getting their long time crush or a second chance romance and All or Nothing at All has both! Sydney and Tristan grew up together but there was a 4 year age difference with him being older. Sydney’s crush on Tristan grew to love over the years but he wasn’t ready for the same level of emotions once they finally acted on their attraction 7 years before the novel starts.
Tristan needed to leave his small town and make a name for himself but Sydney stayed behind for several reasons. Years later, the two find themselves working together again and the attraction is still there. The couple work through their past (so many feelings! I laughed, cried, mostly cried). Issues from the past tainted the present and almost kept them from having a future.
All or Nothing at All is the final book in the series and while it’s sad to see the series end with only 3 books and a novella it’s also refreshing to leave a series wanting more. I could see myself revisiting this series when I need a good laugh and cry. But for now I will work on Probst’s back list to find new stories and characters that are sure to keep me up late at night.
Swoon Worthy Quote:
I waited for this book because it was obvious this couple had a past and they were still attracted. The entire Billionaire Builders series has awesome characters and heartwarming and heart-wrenching stories. All or Nothing At All has the whole gamut of emotions.
I love Sydney. I admire her ability to know what she wants and work for it. She has done an amazing job with her life and raising her daughter. She is a stronger and better woman than me. I don’t think I would have been as accepting of Tristan’s bullshit. The big thing here is she was honest with herself and he was not. It’s one thing not to share all your thoughts and feelings with others; it’s understandable. It’s another to lie to yourself. I feel for the situation but Tristan demands all the rewards in life without any risk.
The happily ever after of this series has wrapped up beautifully and is certainly ripe for future novellas. It would let us see these people happy and their growth into the future. I’d love to revisit the series on audio, too.
