There's a new gang of criminals in town who are organized and ruthless in the extreme. When Eric Becker, along with the rest of the Dallas SWAT team, ends up in the middle of a shootout, he immediately senses werewolves—a lot of them. Turns out, the new bad guys are a pack of wolf shifters.

In a spray of gunfire, Becker comes face-to-face with the most gorgeous woman he's ever seen. Becker does the logical thing. He hides her and leaves the scene with the rest of his team.

Jayna Winston has no idea why that SWAT guy helped her, but she's glad that he did. Ever since she and her pack mates got mixed up with those Eastern European mobsters, everything had pretty much fallen apart. So what's a street-savvy thief like Jayna going to do with a hot alpha-male wolf who's a police officer?

In the Company of Wolves is more action and less romance compared to the previous books in the SWAT series by Paige Tyler, but that’s not a bad thing. Less talk of The One was a welcomed changed. But don’t worry romance fans, there was a happy ever after and some smexy times.

What got me excited was more werewolf mythology coming to the forefront. Until now we’ve only seen alpha wolves. Ms. Tyler introduces omegas and betas and I love how none of them know all the rules to being a werewolf. The characters are learning about what makes werewolves tick as the readers do. It’s like watching someone put together the pieces of a puzzle, just when you think you know what the picture will be there’s a surprise piece that changes the landscape.

Jayna is a tough heroine with a crappy past and a dangerous present. Then walks in the handsome SWAT wolf, Becker and he makes her understand what The One is all about. The chemistry between the two is hot and sweet at the same time.

As Paige delivers another great story in her SWAT series, Abby Craden brings that story and characters to life with her narration. Craden and Paige is a great team in the paranormal romance genre. I can’t wait to hear what the two brings us next with the fourth book in the series. I’m hoping its Cooper’s story.

Top 5 Favorite Places To Write My go-to location to write is on the couch in our living room with QVC on TV (volume down), while listening to my iPad either playing music or the Jim Rome Show (on iHeart Radio). My fur baby is typically sitting on the back of the couch right beside me looking over my shoulder and beta reading as I write. That’s where I get the lion’s share of my book writing done, but sometimes you can’t always write where you want to. Deadlines are deadlines no matter where you are, so I’ve gotten used to taking my laptop everywhere I go. Even if I’m not necessarily “writing” on my stories, I’m always thinking about them. In fact, sometimes when […]

Wolf Trouble pushed the SWAT series more into the paranormal suspense romance genre. The werewolf elements are stronger than in book 1, Hungry Like the Wolf because we get to see the first female werewolf in the series deal with shifting issues. My biggest issue with Wolf Trouble is the heroine’s name, Khaki. I can’t believe there wasn’t any kind of jokes made about her name from some of the other characters. I felt like Ms. Tyler could have had some fun with that. But really over the first installment in the series, I enjoyed Khaki and Xander’s romance more and the plot line. Although I thought that the plot line with the bank robbers and the another character was going to tie into each other […]

What do you get when you have a SWAT team full of sexy alphas? A woman’s wet dream. But add to the fact that they are werewolves and you get a PNR reader’s wet dream. HUNGRY LIKE THE WOLF is two-part romantic suspense, one part paranormal romance and one part sexy. I say romantic suspense first because if it wasn’t for the SWAT team being werewolves there wouldn’t be many para to this romance. I was hoping for more wolfy times, but we only got sneak peaks into that aspect, but there’s enough, I think for PNR readers to enjoy. Although I’m hoping the next installment will flesh out more of the werewolf mythology. HUNGRY LIKE THE WOLF has some action and suspense with a […]
