Gabe Kasper, heartthrob of Buckhorn County, could have had any woman he wanted--if he'd had a mind to settle down. Which he didn't. The freedom of being a jack-of-all-trades with no one to answer to suited him just fine. And then a prickly, uptight, red-haired college woman showed up...

Elizabeth Parks needed Gabe to complete her thesis on heroism, but he didn't seem to think saving a couple of lives made him a hero. She was inclined to agree that he seemed like the exception to the rule. Until he rescued her heart and soul with his fearless passion.

Jordan Sommerville was a healer of helpless animals, rescuer of strays, a man who could seduce a woman with his voice alone. Yet he didn't use that power often. His brothers kidded that he was holding out for a paragon of virtue and not many in Buckhorn qualified. But then he met Georgia, and broke all his own rules.

Georgia Barnes supported herself and her kids as a dancer--an exotic dancer. If Jordan Sommerville didn't like it, he could take a hike. So what if he was the most caring, gentle, desirable man she'd ever known--he was still a man like all the rest. Surely he couldn't be as perfect as he looked--or could he?

Gabe

I’ll start these reviews off by saying that I’ve enjoyed Isabelle Gordon’s narration job on this series. She does a great job with both the male and female voices. She has a husky yet silky voice that lends well to both genders. She also does a really nice country accent for the characters. I’m a little sad to see that the last book in the series about Swayer’s son will not on audio. But I will be reading it. Ok now on to the stories…..

We’ve all read the story about the beauty and the geek or in this case the sexy country man and the geeky beauty. Lori Foster writes it with hot sexual tension with a touch of humor and one hell of an emotional ride.

Gabe is the lovable man whore of the family. He’s been getting tail since he was a teen. But one day this pain Jane red-head comes to town to interview him for her college thesis and he is turned upside down by how much he wants her.

Elizabeth comes to Buckhorn with business in mind instead of having fun on her summer vacation. But with the help of Gabe she learns how to have fun of the steamy kind.

A sweet and hot romance buds between the two over the summer and they both find themselves attracted to their total opposite. If you are looking for a fast sweet read in the contemporary romance genre you really need to give Lori Foster a try and I recommend starting with her Buckhorn Bothers series.

Jordan

Jordan is the last brother in the family to get bitten by the love bug. After he has seen his other three brothers fall prey to love he wants nothing to do with it. But that’s what they all have said and one by one they are grabbed by the balls by some sweet thing. And Jordan is no different.

Jordan being the quite brother with the sexy voice that can tame anything female whither they are furry or not (what? he’s a vet; he’s really good with animals) he finds himself falling for a dancer that he spots one night at a local saloon. She’s sexy as hell and so not his type. But she is more than meets the eye and soon Jordan is loosing his heart to her.

One thing I’ve really enjoy about this series other than the smexy brothers is that for the most part each story is told through the men’s POV which is different for me. The POV does which between them and their leading ladies but like I said we get most of the story through the guy’s eyes.

Lori Foster has been added to my auto read list for the contemporary romance genre. I have put a few more of her books on hold through my library’s ebook section. They have tons of books by her and they are ALL checked out at the moment which tells me that she is a popular lady and many enjoy her.

Audio Review: Buckhorn Beginnings by Lori Foster

I grabbed Buckhorn Beginnings on audio a few months back when it was on sale at audible.com and was saving it for a rainy day. So when I was starting to get a little burn out on all the UF books I’ve been reading and listening to I knew it was time to dust this one off. It was just want I needed. Not one but two sweet and sexy contemporary stories in one audio. Buckhorn Beginnings is my first Lori Foster experience and before I was halfway through it I ran over to audible and grabbed the next audio, Forever Buckhorn. I knew I had to hear the other sexy brothers’ stories. Foster knows how to write a sweet, emotional and sexy story. And […]
