At fifteen-years-old, Raven Bella Stratton’s father was killed in a horrible car crash. The bigger shock was the discovery of a woman with him—Diana Pierce—and their two fully packed suitcases with airline tickets to Paris. Devastated by her father’s betrayal, Raven went to live with her aunt, never truly overcoming the traumatic event. When she discovers that the mysterious woman had a family with a husband and three boys, Raven vows to leave the memory of her father behind.

Until Dalton Pierce visits one night and suddenly her past challenges her future...

Leaving his life in California behind to run Pierce Construction with his two older brothers, Dalton Pierce has enjoyed returning home and studying his passion of woodworking. But when he visits the local bar with his brothers one evening, he’s immediately drawn to the smart-mouthed, badass, sexy bartender who sets his body on fire. Unfortunately, she doesn’t seem as intrigued by him, and his multiple advances are met with rejection. When he offers to restore the bar back to its original glory, he begins to work with her on a daily basis, and falls harder. His plan of seduction slowly weaves a web around them both, until they are caught up in the spell. But Dalton doesn’t know the secret that can either destroy them both...or finally mend two broken hearts.

read it, track it is a way for me to track books for my reading challenges and the reviews will be super short.

Anne reviewed Any Time, Any Place already so I’ll keep my review short.

The second book in Probst’s Billionaire Builders focuses Dalton Pierce, the brother of the hero of the first book, Everywhere and Every Way. Dalton spent some time away from the family business and home in California but after the events in the first book he came home and now he trying to show his brothers he is not the flake they think he is. He’s serious about his wood work but never serious about a relationship with the ladies.

Raven is connected with the Pierce brothers from the past but they don’t know it yet. The connection is the reason she won’t give into her attraction to Dalton. Raven is a strong and independent woman looking for a husband not another playboy.

Madeleine Maby and Sebastian York continued to deliver great performances. I cannot turn down the team of Maby, York and Probst.

Swoon Worthy Quote:

“Think you should make some grand gesture? You know, like they do in those romance novels and stuff?” Tristan asked.

Dalton shook his head. “Nah, it’s fiction for a reason. Women need long term. Small actions every day that make a difference. I’m fighting for something bigger here.”

Full Package by Lauren Blakely

Full Package by Lauren Blakely

The team of Blakely and York never fails to entertain! Hot doctor and sweet baker that’s Chase and Josie. I love couples that start off as best friends and turns into lovers who have been in love with each other for a long time but are too afraid to act on their attraction. Chase is best friends with Wyatt from Well Hung, who is also Josie’s brother. Josie is Nick from Mister O sister. Everyone knew these two had a thing for each other it only took them becoming roommates to figure it out for themselves. Full Package is a fun and sexy friends to lovers romance from Lauren Blakely. These group of friends and siblings always have great […]

Marriage Games by C.D. Reiss

Marriage Games by C.D. Reiss

C.D. Reiss is permanently on my auto-buy list and so is Sebastian York, listening to Marriage Games is no brainer! Marriage Games is told through both Adam and Diana’s POVs, with the first half of the book told from Adam’s POV while the second half switches to Diana’s POV.  switching back between Present Tense and Past Tense. Each chapter is labeled as Present Tense, Past Perfect, feeding off the flashback aspect and the literary aspect of the publishing business the couple own and run together. I love it when an audio book has switching POVs is performed by a male and female narrator. Elena Wolfe voices Diana’s POVs and her dialogue even in Adam’s POV. Sebastian York voices Adam’s POV and his dialogue during Diana’s […]

The Sexy One by Lauren Blakely

The Sexy One by Lauren Blakely

A sexy and sweet romance about “forbidden” love between a hot single dad and his nanny. Simon and Abby make a great team in raising his young daughter. Their romance starts with instant-a-lust they neither will act on but over time the lust turns to love and they can’t fight it anymore. See what happens with Lauren Blakely brings these two fun characters together in The Sexy One. The dual narration really works for this title. Sebastian York is a favorite of mine and he has narrated many of Blakley’s titles and always does an amazing job. The Sexy One is the first I’ve listened to by Blakley that switches POVs from the male to female characters (all the others I’ve read […]

Beautiful by Christina Lauren

Beautiful by Christina Lauren

First Christina Lauren wraps up their Wild Seasons series and now this one?! I have no doubt they have something awesome in the pipeline for their fans but I’m sad to see the Beautiful Bastard series end! Pippa and Jensen are connected to other characters in previous books. Pippa is friends with Ruby who ended up with Naill in Beautiful Secret and Jensen is Hanna’s big brother who ended up with Jensen’s best friend Will in Beautiful Player. We get to see both of these couples in Beautiful as they all take a fun road trip together. Jensen and Pippa agree to go on said road trip with the couples after they found out they wouldn’t be the fifth wheel. But once they find out […]

Well Hung is a fun and sexy romance between boss the assistant but not the same as other stories […]

Everywhere and Every Way by Jennifer Probst

Everywhere and Every Way by Jennifer Probst

Madeleine Maby and Sebastian York are two of my favorite narrators, so listening to Everywhere and Every Way was a no brainer. I have a few of Jennifer Probst books on my TBR pile (audios actually) but this was my first time experiencing her writing, and I loved it! Her voice and these two narrators were a pairing made in romance heaven. Everywhere and Every Way is told through both Caleb and Morgan’s point of view with York narrating Caleb’s and Maby narrating Morgan’s POV. Everywhere and Every Way starts out with the brothers being brought back together after being apart for 6 years, over the death of their father. The father was a real jerk and had it put in his will that […]

Mister O by Lauren Blakely

Mister O by Lauren Blakely

Mister O had me smiling the whole time I was listening. The team of Lauren Blakely and Sebastian York have cemented a place on my auto-listen list of author and narrator pairings. Blakely’s writing is brought to life perfectly by York’s performance. She writes great characters and with the romance being told from the guy’s POV, you get a funny view of romance. York is possibly the best narrator for romances told through the male’s POV. Mister O is a stand alone but it follows the romance between Nick the best friend of Spencer from Big Rock and Spencer’s little sister, Harper. I love this trope in romances and Blakely wrote a great story using it. Mister O is Nick Hammer, a cartoonist with a hit […]
