It’s Christmastime again in Heartbreaker Bay!

When Sean O’Riley shows up at the Hartford Bed & Breakfast for his older brother’s bachelor weekend, he’s just hoping to make it through the weekend. What he’s not expecting is to come face to face with the woman he lost his virginity to a decade ago—a woman he’s never really forgotten.

The last time Lotti Hartford saw Sean, she told him she loved him while he said nothing. Now, ten years later, she’s just looking for a good time. For once, she wants to be the wild and free one, and Sean – the good time guy – is the perfect candidate.

But as the weekend continues, Sean realizes that after a lifetime of being the hook-up king, he’s ready to find happily-ever-after, and he wants it with Lotti. But will she open her heart to him again? As Christmas sweeps through the little B&B, he can only hope love and magic are in the air.

Sean and Lotti where friends in high school and have one night together before she and her family moved away. About ten years later then run into each other while Sean is playing best man and wedding planner to his brother Finn and the rest of the gang in the Heartbreaker series.

Cute novella about a wedding gone wrong and second chance romance between high school friends. Holiday Wishes was a quick and fun read.

The only issue I had with Holiday Wishes was it too short. I was really enjoying it and then it was over, but I’m sure we will see more of Sean and Lotti in up coming stories.

I would have loved One Snowy Night more if it was a full-length novel. I really like Max and Rory. I wish they had a longer story. But over all One Snowy Night was a sweet, fun and sexy read to get me in the holiday mood. So far the couples in the Heartbreaker series has had rocky histories with each other and Rory and Max are no different. These two went to high school together where he was the popular jock and she was the quiet wallflower. Neither knew the other has feelings for each other back then, but the sexual tension between them now is hard to overlook. If Max and Rory can get over something from their past, then it will […]

All I Want for Christmas is a Cowboy by Emma Cane, Jennifer Ryan and Katie Lane

This review is only for Can’t Wait by Jennifer Ryan, the prequel to The Hunted series. I already read the first book, not knowing about this novella but it didn’t lessen my enjoyment and it’s perfect for the holidays! It’s a sweet romance with two people who become friends before lovers. We come in at the point where Caleb and Summer already developed deep feelings for each other. He’s trying to honor some man code where you don’t date your best friend’s sister. She’s pulling out all the stops to force his hand. I enjoyed this short, steamy and romantic story with the Christmas season as the backdrop. She’s feisty and when he goes all in, it’s pretty special. The ending was just what I […]

IT’S A WONDERFUL FIREMAN is a cute, sexy and heart warming contemporary romance where fireman Mulligan hates Christmas. So where would be the “funniest” place for a fireman like Mulligan to get trapped on Christmas Eve Eve? A Christmas store named Under the Mistletoe. While on a call, Mulligan and his fire squad are called to a fire at a local shopping center. Mulligan is the last to get off the roof and gets trapped in the store after a fall. Mulligan has hallucinations where his girlfriend Lizzie visits him via Clarence (angel from It’s a Wonderful) style. But instead of an angel Lizzie is dressed as a naughty elf. But she not there to kiss Mulligan under the mistletoe, she’s there to show him […]

Saved by the Rancher by Jennifer Ryan

I’m going to sound like I can’t decide if I like this book or not. Well, that’s because there were parts I liked a lot and others that had me raising my eyebrows.   First, what I liked. It’s romantic suspense involving cowboys on a ranch and a heroine on the run from a truly diabolical ex-husband. Jenna’s fear was well earned and one of the most chilling aspects of the book is when we experience the attacks from her point of view. It was horrific, awful and scary. When she lands at Jack’s ranch, I breathed a sigh of relief on her behalf. He and his family were just good people and even though it could be sappy at times, they were a wonderful […]
