She's everywhere.

Ex-wife.

Love of his life.

The last person in the world he wanted to see...ever.

And now that he's working beside her every day, he can't escape her. Her scent, glimpses of her smile, even the tension in the air that makes his body hum with the kind of need he'd only experienced with one person-all of it is driving him over the edge.

Brant Wellington was certain of three things:

Alcohol wasn't going to solve this.

He really was losing his F-ing mind.

And his gorgeous ex-wife was going to be the death of him.

The Bachelors of Arizona series is a guilty pleasure I can’t regret reading. It’s ridiculous but so sort of campy and funny.  The characters are impossible and larger than life.  Even the side characters have personality and are developed well enough to know them. The relationship between the brothers is hilarious, but even more Grandpa and now “Grandma Nadine.”

This was fun and sexy. Even though there is always some character angst over some issue, they eventually grow into dealing with their past. There is a lot of grief in the history of this couple; they were married very young. Nikki has managed well considering everything. Brant is a hot mess, using alcohol to block out all feelings.

I especially enjoyed Cole, well not at first, as he was Nikki’s boss and friend. He plays a key role. I wouldn’t mind seeing another book featuring him!  As crazy as this series is, I loved it for the laughs and the feels and the heat. I really recommend it.

Giggle-worthy quote:

“He’s not…” Her eyes widened. “Oh hell, he is technically our boss, isn’t he?”

“Sleeping your way to the top. I’ve never been prouder to call you friend.”

The Blood Brothers series is back! I love the strength and intelligence of these guys and their family camaraderie.  They are skilled; and they plan their operations. They don’t just wait for things to happen or for others to make their move. Their stories are packed with action and clenched pit of the stomach suspense because consequences for failure are brutal. I felt I knew Denver pretty well; his issues and secrets were expected. I’m so glad he had his brothers but also Jory at his back, in every way. Noni was nicely developed, complete with her extended family, but while she was certainly brave I felt annoyed with areas where she was naive enough to border on TSTL  The […]

So far, the Opposites Attract series is my favorite by Erin Nicholas. I’ve enjoyed all her books, but this series hits the spot. I fell in love with the three females sharing a home in Completely Yours and went on to Forever Mine and now, Totally His. She does a fantastic job with her characters and their dialogue. Their banter and authentic communication is refreshing and funny. The plots are fiction but they aren’t so far from reality one can’t believe them. This story has insta-lust. Sophie has a tough background without much family support. Finn has had a wealth of family support throughout his life. Sophie loves the idea of a big, close family but isn’t sure she […]

Carmen and Thomas’s story started in the previous book, Rule Master. We got a sneak peek into their relationship where Carmen was hiding something big from Thomas. Two somethings actually, as in his twin sons. Rule Changer takes us a little over a year from the end of Rule Master. The cat is out of the bag and Thomas has come to collect is family. Carmen and Thomas are both Dominates so their romantic relationship is not the norm in their world. With that issue to work out they are also dealing with the reasons Thomas broke things off with Carmen. They shared family business past that lead to his aunt killing her father. Carmen gave her trust to Thomas one night months ago and he took […]

I seem to time the reading of the Kindle version of books in the Bachelors of Arizona series with the release of the mass  market paperback.  I can’t remember exactly how I ended up reading the first one; I think I was trying to work with the publisher and they offered it to me. Anyway, it makes zero sense I am reading them. They use two tropes which are my least favorite (one is the billionaire guy). I won’t mention the second as it is too spoiling. BUT I love them! Each book is also a very loose fairy tale retelling. The Bachelor Auction was a Cinderella story. The Playboy Bachelor is sort of Beauty and the Beast. Rich, hot […]

Want I liked about At His Mercy: Hot chemistry – I felt the chemistry between Tristan and Isabella and found their attraction very believable Kink – I liked the D/s elements of the BDSM romance wasn’t over the top. I think for this story and the characters the kink level was just right. No Virgins were hurt in the making of this book – I really loved the fact that Isabella wasn’t a virgin. I just knew during their first sex scene he was going to find out after he pushed into her that she was a virgin. But nope so YEAH FOR NO VIRGINS. She did her research – While Isabellas was not a virgin, she was a newbie to the BDSM lifestyle […]

I write erotic suspense, so I love both sex and actions scenes. They both make the heart race a bit faster. Both spur the imagination. Both help to empower the women who read them. But in a competition between the two, Team Romp easily wins! Here’s why:   Erotic romance helps women escape from their everyday life roles to connect with their sexual selves. This aids in…  Sexual communication with their partners. Which leads to… Creativity in the bedroom. Plus, studies have shown that reading erotic romance will increase sexual desire and overall sexual function in women. In fact, women who read it have 74% more sex. And sex leads to orgasms… Orgasms reduce stress, relieve pain, improve memory, and BURNS CALORIES!   […]

Anne’s Audio Review I was so excited to get this audio, since I had also listened to Deadly Silence.  In between these two audios in the Blood Brothers series , I listened to the entire  Sin Brothers series which is related.  The Sin Brothers came first if you are OCD like me. Karen White narrated both series so I enjoyed the consistency. While the women have different personalities, most of them sounded the same to me. The men had a little more variation. These are professional,  comfortably paced audio books. The overall story arc continues and I’m happy we learn more in each installment. The Blood brothers were rather isolated in childhood, so they are learning more about themselves and their history all the time. This book also has […]
