Pilot-for-hire Zoe Stone is happy to call Sunshine, Idaho, her home base. But her quiet life is thrown for a loop when her brother’s friend Parker comes to stay with her for a week. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife special agent is a handsome flirt with a gift for getting under her skin. And the situation only escalates when Parker hires her to fly him around the area while he collects evidence on a suspected smuggler.

Now she has to live and work with the guy. But when they’re in the air, she sees another side of him. He’s driven, focused, and sharp. And while he enjoys giving commentary on her blind dates, she quickly realizes with a shock that it’s Parker who gets her engines going…

Anne’s Review

If you are in the mood for romance, look no further than Jill Shalvis.  She’s my go-to romance author.  Her books always have funny, sexy and endearing characters in a way I now expect and find a comfort. (My first ever blog review was a book in this series which remains an all-time favorite.)

This story continues with the new family brought into the series with the oldest sister of the new vet, Wyatt.  Zoe is so likeable.  She is tough, hard-working and real.  She fights for everyone but herself it seems. Zoe’s so competent, except when she isn’t.  I love her off kilter when Parker flirts with her.  Her rescue dog, Oreo, was abused and doesn’t like men,.. except.

Parker feels (to me) laid back about everything but his work.  He fits right in with the hot muscular guys in this town who are out there saving the world. We see too little of our other favorite Idaho residents.  Darcy is the most present, and she gets in some good zingers though. And naturally, Parker is easy with animals.

All I Want is another highly recommended book by Jill Shalvis. It’s all about the feels, the emotional ride when reading.

Giggle worthy quote:

Around him, the kitchen smelled delicious, and his gaze locked in on the plate of cookies on the far counter. Homemade cookies.  He couldn’t remember the last time he’d had homemade anything, and like Pavlov’s dog he migrated over there, passing an open laundry room on the way.  In the doorway hung the only thing that could have taken his eyes off the cookies – a row of enticingly lacy and silky things in all colors and textures. Damn. They were hot as hell, especially when he pictured them on the leggy brunette trying to ignore him every bit as much as he was trying to ignore her.

But then she caught where his gaze had gone and gasped in clear horror at the sight, as if she’d completely forgotten the things were there. To his dismay, she started snatching down the panties and bras, shoving them into a laundry basket.

“Sorry,” she said, grabbing something black and lacy, “It’s been a hectic week.”

“No apologies necessary.” His voice sounded rough and husky to his own ears, but his brain was very busy picturing her in that black and lacy number and it was messing with his entire equilibrium in a big way.

“It’s laundry day,” she said, her cheeks red as she hugged the basket to herself. “The dryer’s harsh on delicates.”

“I’ll remember that. I’ll be sure to hang all my delicates,” he said.

And this goes on with a funny about cookies, too!

Jennifer’s Review

A Jill Shalvis book is like a warm hug that turns into a hot guy squeezing your butt. A little sweet and a little naughty.

If it wasn’t for having to work a 12 hour shift this past Saturday I would have read All I Want in one sitting. Both Zoe and Parker are likable characters. They are the oldest siblings in their family and they are use to taking care of everyone around them.

Zoe has parent issues, her parents were globe trotters that let her raise her younger brother and sister (who got their HEAs in earlier books). But now it’s Zoe’s turn to find her HEA. That’s when Parker, her brother’s buddy from college shows up on her door step.

Parker has a dangerous job hunting big game poachers. He’s in Sunshine for some R&R after getting ran over by a truck in the line of duty. But he’s not looking for a vacation or a relationship. But when he knocks on Zoe’s door he gets more than he was looking for in a temporary landlord. WAY MUCH MORE. Like a farting Bernese mountain dog named Oreo, two wall climbing kittens and one sexy lady pilot that needs help with not only fixing her old house but her love life.

All I wanted to do was lock myself up in a quite room to read All I Want by Jill Shalvis. It made me laugh, hot under the collar and sniffle a little. All the perfect feels when reading a romance book.

I can’t wait to see who gets a book next. I’m betting on either the sexy Sunshine Sheriff, Kel or Zoe’s business partner, Joe.

Sexy Quotes:

“Don’t play hard to get now,” she whispered, and he laughed.

“Zoe,” he said in that early-morning sexy guy voice, “with you, I’m never hard to get. I’m just hard.”

“Maybe we should keep some distance until you go. A foot seems about right.”

He rubbed the scruff on his jaw, clearly working up a smile, trying to match her tone. “You think a foot of space is enough?”

She smiled. “I think anything over about nine inches should do it.”

Anne’s Review  Move over Griff!  I’ve been secretly lusting after A.J. since Then Came You and now it’s official.  AJ holds a top spot in my heart. Griffin’s lady, Kate is still my favorite gal in the series, though.  Jill Shalvis’ characters always feel like real people to me and I love them.  They are not perfect; they are real. Well, they are real to me.  Jill Shalvis never disappoints. OMG AJ!  You are a god among men.  AJ thinks she doesn’t love him and he still puts her first!!!!!!  I am melted.  He is such an admirable man, working with those who are hurt even when they can’t pay him.  He’s trying to find someone to provide grants for people once their insurance runs out […]

Then Came You by Jill Shalvis

Then Came You by Jill Shalvis

Then Came You is the fifth book in Jill Shalvis’ Animal Magnetism series and the second book of hers that I’ve read. So why did I skip ahead to book five? I’ve been seeing other readers raving about how this was their favorite installment in the series so far. Even though I’m not one to read series out-of-order, I figured I could jump into Then Came You with no problems. And I was right! It read great as a stand alone. I know I was missing back stories on the other couples but I was not lost. The Animal Magnetism series features men and women who are animal lovers. In Then Came You, we get to see Emily and Wyatt, two vets fall in love. They shared one night […]

Getting the Crush. Rumor Has It by Jill Shalvis

Getting the Crush. Rumor Has It by Jill Shalvis

I LOVE it when the girl gets the guy she’s had a big crush on. Love it! And Jill Shalvis writes this romance trope well! What do you get when you take a 2nd grade teacher and an ex-Special Ops soldier and put them together? A hot (not sweet!) romance in RUMOR HAS IT.  Everyone in Sunshine calls Kate sweet and it drives her nuts when Griffin, who happens to be her BFF’s big brother and her all time crush, calls her sweet. She doesn’t want Griffin to see her as sweet because if he does then nothing will happen between them. Griffin is a known bad boy when it comes to the ladies and after Kate has spent the last few years taking care […]

Second Chance at Love in Rescue My Heart by Jill Shalvis

RESCUE MY HEART is a sweet and sexy second chance romance between Adam and Holly. Adam is the strong and silent type. He went into the army at a young age in order to stay out of jail and now he works with dogs, training them to search and rescue. He also works with his Veterinarian brother, Dell at his animal clinic teaching obedience classes. As the men of the Animal Magnetism series slowly get grabbed up by their women there are less and less single men in the small town of Sunshine, Idaho and now Adam is front and center as the single hottie working at Belle Haven. Adam could have his pick of any female in town but he chooses to stay away […]

Another Purrfect Installment. Animal Attraction by Jill Shalvis

Jill Shalvis makes me ache for a small town life with close friends that are more like family. And the hot men in her Animal Magnetism series make me envious of the gals in Sunshine. (shh don’t tell my husband.) Animal Attraction is the story of vet Dell and his assistant Jade. Jade ran from her Chicago life to the quite small town of Sunshine, Idaho 18 months ago. She runs Dell’s vet clinic like a well-oiled machine. No one questions her and her multiple spreadsheets because she knows the workings of the clinic inside and outside. But no one really knows much about Jade because she’s kept herself closed off. Sure she’s made friends with workers at the clinic a few around town but […]

Read It, Track It Animal Magnetism by Jill Shalvis

Animal Magnetism by Jill Shalvis is a fun and sweet small town romance where the heroine has a big heart and the hero is just plain sexy.     The Narration: Karen White delivered the story of Brady and Lyla quite well. Her voice is spot on for contemporary romance. She makes the women sound soft and strong at the same time and the men sexy. And her animal sounds for Twinkle (dog) and cats’ meows were realistic and really cute!
