It’s been five years since Special Agents Ty Grady and Zane Garrett first worked together to solve the Tri-State murders, and time has been both harsh and kind. Engaged now, they face the challenge of planning a deeply uncertain future together. Zane is at the pinnacle of his career with one last mystery to solve, while Ty is at sea in a world where he’s no longer the tip of a spear.

There’s just one more hurdle in the way of their happy ever after: a traitor from their inner circle who threatens to burn their world to the ground.

Squeezed between the Vega cartel, an unknown mole, and too many alphabet agencies to count, Ty and Zane must gather all their strength and resources to beat the longest odds they’ve ever faced. To make it out alive, they’ll need help from every friend they’ve got. Even the friends who might betray their trust.

I had so many feelings while listening to Crash & Burn . . .

I love me some Ty & Zane and the Sidewinder gang and they are all present, including Liam Bell.

Series plot lines wrapped up nicely and plenty of twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat.

NOOOOOOO! Crash & Burn is the last book in the Cut & Run series.

If you still haven’t tried the Cut & Run series you are missing out one of the best (if not THE BEST) romances! Ty and Zane are the real deal. The series is all about suspense, thrills, laughs and love, Crash & Burn had it all and was a great wrap for the series. I’ll miss Ty and Zane but I’ll always have rereads/relistens to visit them in the future.

The series has gone through three narrators (I recommend skipping the first narrator for books 1 & 2), Sean Crisden for books 3 – 5 and then J.F. Harding for the books 6 – 9. Both Sean and J.F. are great narrators but I have to same that J.F. is my fave of the two. He really is Ty and Zane. J.F. does an amazing job with making a mostly male cast stand out. Each character has their own voice and J.F. does more than just read the books, he truly performs them. I will listen to more of J.F.’s work. I must!

About Abigail Roux

Any spare time is spent living and dying with every Atlanta Braves and Carolina Panthers game of the year.          Ty and Zane get invited to be a part of Duce’s (Ty’s brother) wedding. It’s taking place in Scotland and if you’re a fan of the series you know that these guys can’t go on a vacation without murder and mayhem happening. Ty and Zane on a rug, in front of a fire, in a castle in Scotland. OH. MY. LAWD! I love that Nick and Kelly came along for the ride in Ball & Chain. They are Ty and Zane 2.0. The banter between the group is great. I was laughing so much while I listened. J. F. Harding does a wonderful job with the narration. Having mostly a male cast of characters, Harding has no problem making each of them […]

Ty and Zane head to the Big Easy for Touch & Geaux but it’s anything but easy! If you are holding off on trying the Cut & Run because you’re not sure if M/M is your thing. STOP holding off! This series is one of the best romances out there. It has not just one hot alpha hero but two and they are so fun to spend time with. They are both damaged by their pasts and we get some insight into both Ty and Zane’s past relationships and a great moment that shows these two were destined to be together. It can’t be a Ty and Zane adventure without one or both of them in danger. While in NOLA the two with Ty’s Marine […]

I’ve missed Ty and Zane. I’m so happy the rest of the Cut & Run series is now on audio! There was another narrator change; I was a fan of the last narrator so this made me a little nervous. But I’m enjoying J. F. Harding voice for the characters so I’ve enjoying him even more than the previous narrator. Ty’s family is so funny! I love the way J. F. Harding voiced them. It made scenes like below even funnier. I smile so much listening to Stars & Stripes. “We wouldn’t need your help normally, but this morning I cut your daddy’s finger off, and he says he can’t hold a hammer.” Ty’s head shot up. “You what?” “Cut his finger off,” Mara said […]

You guys have seen me gush over this series time and time again. So don’t be surprised when I do it again. Armed & Dangerous is the 5th book in the Cut & Run series and this time around Abigail Roux writes it solo. But have no fear it’s still Ty and Zane at their finest. Honestly I couldn’t really time that much of a difference in the writing. It’s road trip time for Ty and Zane. They are tasked with the job of bring in a CIA asset, Julian Cross. He’s life is in danger from someone in the CIA and the only person that knows who is using a group of CIA personal as assassins for hire is Cross. But he only knows […]

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this series. I’m starting this review backwards, the end of the book. The END. It had me downloading the next audio, Armed & Dangerous. I usually like to write a review on a book before starting the next in the series so that the storylines don’t blend but after that last sentence I HAD to start A&D and worry about this review later. Ok enough about the ending. I always have a silly smile on my face while listening or reading these books. Ty and Zane have so much chemistry together, whether it be sexual, as work partners or throwing one liners at each other. One of the earlier scenes in Divide & Conquer show them at work and Ty is […]

Everyone keeps telling that each book in this series is better than the last and it’s so true! In Fish & Chips we get to see Ty and Zane have the vacation they should have had in the last book, Sticks & Stone when they were actually on vacation. The two FBI partners have to go undercover as a married gay couple who are involved in an international smuggling ring on a cruise. Neither are very happy about the assignment.  Especially Ty. Ty has to play the boy toy of the marriage and it’s funny to see him go through the waxing, tanning and wardrobe change. Not to mention that Ty tries on the submissive  role to get into character. This only drives Zane crazy […]

At a glance: Stick & Stones is an intense read with action, mystery and an emotional and hot budding romance. The Characters: Ty and Zane are two FBI agents that are so messed up and share a dysfunctional partnership and are in love but neither can see it. Ty is ex-military smart ass. Zane is an uptight by the book agent. The Plot: Ty and Zane are finding it after to cope with the events in Cut and Run and have been on desk duty until they can get their heads on straight. Both are ready to head back into the field but after not passing their mental evals they are forced to take a vacation. But this is no relaxing vacation on a beach. It’s chalked full of life […]
