He wants eternity?
Dakota Shelton is a vampire cowboy with a penchant for cinnamon lollipops and Johnny Cash. Though highly skilled and deadly dangerous to his enemies, he's still a Texas good ol' boy at heart. And he has that heart set on wooing Trixie LaRoux-the most badass punk rock chick in town-the old-fashioned way.

Over her undead body...
Trixie is tough as nails and sharp as a silver stake-the last thing she wants is a man to sit on a porch and not grow old with. So it'll take going to hell and back fighting a new threat to vampires before she admits Dakota's courtship makes her blood hum. Turns out chivalry's not dead after all.

The Good, the Bad, and the Vampire is my favorite in Sara Humphrey’s Dead in the City series! How can you not love a cowboy vampire with a lollipop fetish?

The heroine, Trixie puts out this punk rocker attitude. She outspoken and acts like she doesn’t care about much. But it’s all a mask to hide the hurt she feels over her past. So she’s thrown for a loop when this Texan yahoo shows up in her Coven (vampire family) and has her feeling things she’s never felt before.

The hero, Dakota is a sentry and new to the New York City Coven. He’s only been with them for about two years and he still doesn’t feel like part of the family. When he’s not working to protect the city he is trying to get to know one feisty filly.

Dakota and Trixie is a perfect example of opposites attract; city girl and a country boy. Add in the fact they both have fangs and the fun really begins. They flirt and try to drive each other crazy but they never let it go any further than that. And it’s mostly due to Trixie. She’s a love them and leave them kind of gal. She’s not looking to have a relationship because she doesn’t want to be hurt like she’s been in the past. Dakota sees through Trixie’s act to the woman underneath the crazy hair color changes and thick makeup she uses as a mask.

The Good, the Bad, and the Vampire is full of mystery that surrounds a group of gargoyles that everyone that was an extinct species. This mystery brings out both our heroine and hero’s past and helps them to understand each other better and gives them that extra push they need to get to their HEA.

If you’re looking for a sexy vampire romance with some action to keep you turning the page you should check out The Good, the Bad, and the Vampire by Sara Humphreys. You can easily enjoy it as a stand-alone or part of the series.
