New York Times bestselling author Jill Shalvis brings you a heartwarming tale that could only happen in Lucky Harbor . . .

Wild child Chloe Thompson can't believe how much things have changed. She still can't get enough of her sexy husband Sawyer, but he seems to prefer working to thinking about impending fatherhood. So tonight, a very pregnant Chloe is escaping her troubles at the town Christmas party.

Sheriff Sawyer Thompson hopes surprising Chloe at the party will give him a chance to set things right. But as the snow begins to fall and the wind rages, he wonders whether he can make it back in time. While mother nature conspires to keep Sawyer and Chloe apart, an unexpected arrival will require them to kiss and make up . . . and ring in the happiest holiday Lucky Harbor has ever seen.

Chloe Thompson is 8 1/2 months pregnant and she’s terribly insecure. Sawyer is going away for two weeks on a special assignment for the DEA and she wonders if her pregnancy hormones have pushed him away.

This was a bittersweet moment as it’s the end of the series. It was sort of fitting to finish with Chloe and Sawyer as she was the most free spirited and restless of all the women featured in the series. She reflects on her life in Lucky Harbor and her relationship with Sawyer and comes full circle as her baby is ready to be born. It was a perfect ending as so many of the people from every story had a reason to be here or be mentioned.

Loved the story and farewell to a wonderful series.

I can’t believe the series is ending! Oh, but it’s going out in fine style with Callie and Tanner’s story.   Quick summary Callie Sharpe returns to Lucky Harbor to check up on her grandmother, Lucille, the town’s leading gossip and social media matchmaker. She’s worried she might not have all her mental ducks lined up properly. Former Navy SEAL Tanner Riggs returned to the town with his partners to start up Lucky Harbor Charters. Neither of them have “lucked” out in romance but a chance encounter at the bakery sets a steamy relationship in motion.   Just a bit of background See, Callie had a HUGE crush on Tanner in high school. He was a football hero, gorgeous and a bad a$$. But, nerdy […]

Quick summary Becca Thorpe is starting over and lands in Lucky Harbor. She doesn’t have a job yet but has a place in a converted warehouse apartment that just happens to be near Sam Brody’s business, Lucky Harbor Charters. He comes to her rescue a couple of times and she comes to his when it becomes obvious he needs help with managing the office demands of the company.   The conflicts Becca’s a talented musician who suffers from panic attacks and some issues from her past. Sam is pretty jaded when it comes to romance and doesn’t think mixing business and pleasure is a good idea. Even friends with benefits has its issues.   What I liked Becca and Sam. She’s delightful with a sunny […]

Top 5 Reasons to Love About Ben 1. He wears a tool belt. 2. He knows how to fix anything. 3. He’s sex on a stick. 4. He’s good with kids. 5. He has no idea he’s all these things.    Excerpt from Once in a Lifetime by Jill Shalvis Aubrey got a look at the man she’d inadvertently drenched and stopped breathing. Oh, God. Had she really thought her day couldn’t get any worse? Why would she tempt fate by even thinking that? Because of course things had gotten worse. They always did. Ben McDaniel slowly stood up from his barstool, dripping vodka from his hair, eyelashes, nose… He was six feet plus of hard muscles and brute strength on a body that […]

I thought this book would be the first in this series that I wasn’t going to love. Aubrey Wellington just didn’t appeal to me…think mean girl grown up. Silly me, I should have trusted Jill Shalvis. Aubrey takes us with her as she travels down her road to redemption. It was fascinating to learn what lay beneath that beautiful and bitchy veneer and feel compassion for her. Her journey was self-revealing, humbling and painful. Wrapping all of this around her surprising relationship with the sexy and brooding Ben McDaniel just tied the perfect bow on the story. He’s also finding his way following the death of his wife five tears ago, awakening from the self-imposed exile to the most dangerous regions of the world. Ben […]

Review: It Had To Be You by Jill Shalvis

It Had to be You By Jill Shalvis Lucky Harbor #7 Source: Publisher via Netgalley Rating: A+   I’m a big fan of this series and have really liked every story…until this one. I LOVED it! It’s one of those rarities where you have equally strong feelings for both main characters. Ali Winter has had a tough life but through it all, she’s held her head up high and believed life would get better, not in a sappy way but more resolute. You couldn’t help admiring her spirit. The town loves her. Luke Hanover is one of the good guys, the person you can count on to do the right thing but underneath that determination is a bag full of guilt about the three times […]
