Down, Boy Anna Moder has just witnessed a shooting, seen her car pulverized, and rescued a wounded stranger only to discover he’s really a werewolf. And by her recent standards, things are actually looking up. Lycanthropes don’t faze Anna. Doctoring a wolf pack outside Grundy, Alaska, is the closest thing to home life she’s known in years. But hitching a ride to Anchorage with long-absent pack member Caleb Graham—that’s a risk. Part of her itches to whack his nose with a newspaper. The rest is trying unsuccessfully to keep her own paws off every delicious inch of him. The problem is—Caleb employs his lupine tracking abilities as a notquite- legal bounty hunter, and Anna is suspicious of both him and his profession. On the run from her past, with old problems closing in, she’d like to stay far, far away from anybody with connections to the law. Caleb, however, seems determined to keep her close. Are his intentions noble, or is he working a more predatory angle? Anna’s been dreaming of returning to a semi-normal life, but now she’s experiencing a strange new urge . . . to join Caleb in running with the wolves.

Things I’ve come to expect from Molly Harper’s Naked Werewolf series.

  • Sexy and over protect werewolf
  • Spunky heroine
  • Sassy snark and pop culture references that keep me smiling and laughing

How to Run With a Naked Werewolf  is werewolf love story that starts with Anna saving Caleb after being shot and almost ran over in the street near her job as a grocery store cashier. Anna has no clue who Caleb is but she can’t stand by while he’s hurt. She manages to get him into his truck and they speed away to start a sexy and funny road trip across the cold Alaskan country side where the unlikely pair find love.

When we meet Anna we find out she’s a cashier at a local grocery store with a questionable past. She’s always running and changing her name and hair color. So what better job for her mysterious patient to have? Bounty hunter. Being a hardcore Molly Harper fan I knew when I found out that sexy werewolf, Caleb was a bounty hunter there would be a Dog the Bounty Hunter reference somewhere.

Anna is running from her past life and she happens to know all about werewolves, something she keeps from Caleb. This leads to funny situations where Caleb tries to hide what he is from Anna. And in turn she loves to make little jokes that if Caleb just paid attention to he would figure out that Anna knows what he is.

The couple couldn’t be any different from each other. Anna is very petite, pale, and blonde where Caleb is very large, olive-skinned and a dark-haired. Both of course are lookers and they find the other one attractive but Anna tries to keep her distance because she doesn’t trust people (most of all men). Caleb tries to take things slow with Anna fearing she will run if he doesn’t.

Slowly over the course of their road trip Anna helps Caleb with bounty hunter job by becoming a kind of assistant to him, doing the paperwork while he grabs the guys/gals that he is trying to bring in for the bounties. Some of Caleb’s bounties doesn’t sit well with Anna because she sympathies with why they are running and some of the wrong choices they made to get their names on Caleb’s hunting list. So the couple butts heads a few times over his job.

How to Run is easily my favorite book in the series so far so if you’re looking for a werewolf romance with heart and humor you really should check out Molly Harper’s How to Run with a Naked Werewolf. You could safely read this installment without having read the other two but I highly recommend the whole series.

The Art of Seducing a Naked Werewolf takes places a little time after How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf and some of the events that happened in HFNW has brought Dr. Nick Thatcher to town. He is a nerdy yet sexy and lovable scientist that has made it his mission in life to prove that supernatural creatures like werewolves exist. Maggie Graham is the alpha of the local werewolf pack in Grundy, Alaska and Nick being in town causes all kinds of problems for her. She can’t let a human come in and expose her family and pack. Not only is this human a danger to Maggie in the “business” sense but he also a hazard to her heart. Maggie and Nick are instantly […]

I’ve had Molly Harper’s “Nice Girls” series on my shelf for a while but I’ve not gotten around to reading them yet but after borrowing How to Flirt With a Naked Werewolf (HFNW) from a friend I will have to move them up my TBR list. HFNW was a fun and light read about Mo, a soon to be 30 old year that has to move from Mississippi all the way to Grundy Alaska, in order to get away from her nosey tree hugging parents to have her own life. Even though Mo is an outsider in Grundy she falls in step with the locals very fast when she takes a job at the local saloon as the cook. Mo makes friends with everyone in town, […]
