With the life he's led and the muscles he's gained, Armie Jacobson isn't afraid of anything. Except maybe Merissa Colter's effect on him. It's not just that she's his best friend's little sister. Fact is, she deserves better. Women pursue him for one night of pleasure, and that's all he wants to offer. Until rescuing Merissa from a robbery leads to the most erotic encounter of his life.

Good girl meets bad boy. It's a story that rarely ends well. But Merissa is taking matters into her own hands. No matter how he views himself, the Armie she knows is brave, honorable and completely loyal. And as past demons and present-day danger collide, they're both about to learn what's truly worth fighting for…

Mrs. Foster has teased us with Armie and Marissa (Rissy) during the Ultimate series and we finally get their HEA in Fighting Dirty, and it was well worth the wait.

If it wasn’t for school work I would have gobbled up Fighting Dirty in one sitting but instead it took me a week to finish it. But it worked out as a nice treat for me at bedtime after I finished my textbook reading and paper writing. And ladies, Armie is fun in bed!

Rissy has had a crush on her big brother’s best friend, Armie since she was sixteen but what she didn’t know was that Armie noticed her back then too but never acted on it for two reasons. She was too young and he thought she deserved a better man than him.

Armie is known for being a lady’s man and being into some kinky stuff. But he’s never had a serious relationship. He focuses on his training and keeping one sexy, leggy brunette at arm’s length. Armie’s been running from Rissy for too long and one night at Rowdy’s bar he gives into a kiss that rocked both of their worlds. But even then he pushes her away, until she’s put in danger then all bets are off.

Fighting Dirty would have gotten 5 full stars if there was an epilogue. I felt with it being the last in the series and a few events in Rissy and Armie’s life would have been great to see where they were a few months later. But I’m sure we’ll get updates on the whole gang . . .

Another character that Foster has been teasing us with is Leese and he announced that he was making a career change in Fighting Dirty that made me wonder if he would get a book in another series. So I asked Mrs. Foster on Twitter if she was planning a spin-off series and she is!

“Yes ma’am! The Body Armor series: Leese, Justice, Miles & Brand. 1st book is Leese, UNDER PRESSURE, out the end of Nov.

So the rest of the secondary characters will get books in the new series. While I’m sad that Fighting Dirty is the last in the Ultimate series I’m so excited about the Body Armor series! And I’m thinking that the new series might have more suspense and danger so Romantic Suspense fans will want to jump on board with the first book this November.

read it, track it is a way for me to track books for my reading challenges and they will be super short. Tough Love is my favorite book in Lori Foster’s Ultimate series. (My least fave book cover though. LOL) Stack and Vanity is a great couple. It was fun to watch them get their HEA, their story is sexy, sweet and fun and like previous stories in the series has a bit of suspense to keep you on your toes. I think I enjoyed Tough Love more than the previous book, Holding Strong because Stack wasn’t over the top alpha like Denver was. And I like Vanity more than Cherry. So over all the couples were different and I connected with this […]

read it, track it is a way for me to track books for my reading challenges and they will be super short. Denver and Cherry have been dancing around each other for the last few months. There was an instant attraction when they met. Cherry has tried to get Denver’s attention and since he avoided her she thinks he had no interest in her. But one night they finally gave in to each other. Denver and Cherry have hot times between the sheets while trying to get closer to each other and figure out how to battle issues and people from their passes. While reading Holding Strong, I cared more about the future couples than the main couple. But it was still an enjoyable read. […]

Hot MMA Alpha Males in No Limits by Lori Foster

Hot MMA Alpha Males in No Limits by Lori Foster

First Thought: I was expecting a book heavy with sports and instead got a suspense romance, not a bad thing. The Sport: Although this series is about MMA fighters there wasn’t any ring time in NO LIMITS. I was ok with that because I’m not a fan of any sports really. So why did I read a book about a MMA fighter? Hello Lori Foster wrote it. But I have a feeling up coming books might have some ring time in them. The other fighters’ women probably won’t have the issues that Yvette had. The Romance: WOW. Yvette and Cannon had some long time built up sexual tension. Three years to be exact. After meeting again after Yvette left town the fire was still there for […]
